The first official Birdentity meeting was held with the GAB Chairman – The “Working GAB Chairman Abraham Khalil Mitra” last 20th July 2017. In the said meeting, Chairman Mitra showed his support and is very keen to elevate the values and standards of Cockfighting Industry in the Philippines. Not only because of his love for the game but also many Filipinos are reliant in this industry as their main source of income.
He is determined in his advocacy to impose procedures and requirements pertinent to the current Cockfighting Law P.D. 449 and to endorse rules and regulations mandated in P.D.1802 of Cockfighting Commission.
Birdentity team on the other hand, headed by the Founder and CEO, Mr. Denis Reyes is very eager in finding ways to help the industry in a systematic approach and solution.
Common problems of this $1.2 Billion Industry aside from epidemic diseases are the following:
1. Uncontrolled theft activities that led into deaths of those who are involved, either the victim or suspect.
2. Forgery of manual data recording of Derby Event.
3. Game fowl identity can be falsified and can be questionable.
4. No point of documentation and recovery for stolen fowls.
5. Trading and Using of Illegal Game Fowl.
6. On-site raiding team was not instigated yet, etc.
Birdentity has come into a solution and integrated all of the above concerns. Meetings and consultations with the GAB Chairman Baham Mitra has enabled Birdentity to define the immediate requirement for a System to be introduced in Cockfighting Industry, thus giving Birdentity a commitment to work further in line with the advocacy of the GAB Chairman.
